Are you happy driving long distances on your own? Or driving to destinations that you are not familiar with? If you are, then all well and good, but there are lots of people who have to make journeys like those, but who are terrified of getting lost.

Are you happy driving long distances on your own? Or driving to destinations that you are not familiar with? If you are, then all well and good, but there are lots of people who have to make journeys like those, but who are terrified of getting lost.

It is not easy to get a job these days and it will probably get worse before it gets any better, so it is not easy to object or risk losing your job. A way around these difficulties is an auto navigation system or a sat nav as many people call them.

An auto navigation system is quite cheap these days and it can relieve lone drivers of a load of stress, if it is used correctly. If your car did not come with an auto navigation system, then get one fitted by a trustworthy third party or go for one of the other alternatives, such as loading the software on a laptop or getting a hand-held sat nav device.

In fact, the most expensive way of purchasing an auto navigation system is to buy it with the car on finance, because you will get hit twice. Not only are the car manufacturers and their dealers the most expensive by a long chalk, but if you put the sat nav on the car finance you will pay even more for it. Lots more.

Buy your car on finance if you have to, but buy all the accessories separately for cash. Consider visiting a few garages and asking for a quote on the system that you like. This requires a little research first, but it is well worth it. There are two ways of going about this: either check out which system you want first, or see what local technicians can install first.

After you have completed this research, you will have your cost of installation and then you can go online and find out how much you can get one there for in comparison with the local shopping mall.

Another alternative is to buy an adapter for the cigarette lighter socket so that you can plug your laptop into it and buy the software and hardware as a package so that you can change your laptop computer into a full GPS auto navigation device.

If you already have a laptop, this is the cheapest, best option. It will provide at least as good a system as a stand-alone set-up and the screen may even be superior. It also means that you can remove the unit so as not to give thieves another reason to break into your car.

The least expensive alternative of all is to get a hand-held GPS sat nav system. These are also useful, but often they do not provide the same level of service. Like the laptop alternative, the hand-held device can be taken out of the car and used on a boat. However, the hand-held unit can also be used when hiking or on a bike

Owen Jones, the author of this article writes on different topics, but is presently concerned with the Snooper sat nav system.

In uncertain economic times, the last thing consumers want is to spend a small fortune on premium fuel when filling up their cars. Another benefit of driving a greener car is conserving the environment for future generations; the ozone layer is getting thinner by all the gasses our vehicles put out into the air. Contrary to popular belief, many of these cars are actually within financial reach for most buyers.

One hybrid that almost everyone is familiar with is the Toyota Prius. This vehicle is also popular with many celebrities; Cameron Diaz and Leonardo Dicaprio have been photographed driving one. It runs on an electric engine with 134 hp and a four cylinder 1.8 traditional engine. There are three different driving modes the driver can select from; Eco, Power and EV. MSRP is around twenty thousand dollars.

Honda is a brand that is associated with reliability and dependability and the same applies to their hybrid Civic. It is powered by both a four cylinder engine that works together with an electric motor. The traditional engine shuts off by itself when not in use; a smart use that helps to conserve fuel. The Civic Hybrid qualifies as an Advanced Technology Partial Zero Emission vehicle due to its low emissions and comes with a fifteen year or 150k mile warranty on emission parts. This compact vehicle is priced to sell around $24k.

If you thought the Fiesta was a hit, the Super Fuel Economy package increases mileage. Mileage is excellent since it can hit up to 40 mpg when cruising down the highway! These are some swell numbers that are sure to save you lots of dollars. Ford Motor’s intuitive Sync system can be installed which allows you to dial out calls and change the music by just using your voice. That way you don’t have to fiddle with buttons or use your smart phone when driving (which is illegal in many states). Ford San Bernardino has a large selection of vehicles for sale in Palm Springs and Riverside.

The government is planning to seriously limit car emissions and giving individual states more power to limit gas emissions. This is a step which will greatly impact the automotive industry. By the year 2020, new vehicles will need to meet the 35 mpg mark. Choosing to drive an efficient vehicle is not only a positive step on a personal level but also on the national and global level.

Written by Sasha Dior – For great prices check out Riverside Honda for a large selection of vehicles for sale in Riverside.

In the first part of this short series on how to make money buying and selling used cars, we looked at what personal traits someone wanting to be profitable in this business would need to have. In the second part we looked at the best places to locate such a business; in the third we looked at sourcing our stock – our cars or trucks and in this section, we will look at valuing that stock.

Whether you obtain your cars or trucks from auctions or from private individuals, you will have to be able to work out their value accurately, so, how do you determine the value of used vehicles? The simplest way to know a vehicle’s typical market, trade-in or wholesale value is to subscribe to a car dealers’ used car guide. Most western countries have one, but in the USA the most used one is called the National Automobile Dealers’ Used Car Guide or N.A.D.A.

NADA not only publishes monthly guides to second-hand cars, it also publishes monthly guides on older or classic cars, smaller boats, larger boats, SUV’s, mobile homes, RV’s, snow mobiles and motorcycles. Look them up on the Internet and join their subscription list for the types of vehicles that you are interested in.

These used vehicle guides normally include foreign or imported cars nd trucks as well and are a consensus of sales and auctions over the whole country, therefore a little local intelligence is indispensable as well as your area may operate at slightly above or slightly below the national norm, which could present you with further chances for (wholesale) sales by shipping cars into or out of your district.

Sometimes or in some areas, a permit is necessary to run a used car business. This is nothing more than tax by another name usually, so simply requires you to pay a fee. In other regions, it may be a way of weeding out dishonest traders and may require an test of same kind, so it is worth checking your district’s requirements before you start trading.

Some districts have laxer laws than others on buying and selling second-hand cars, allowing ‘occasional sales’. ‘Occasional sales of motor vehicles’ is usually deemed to be no more than five sales in a twelve month period.

When you are starting out you can make use of this allowance, if your region allows it, to keep your operating costs down to a minimum in the costly early days of setting up your business, but once you see yourself exceeding this maximum quantity you should submit an application for a license straight away to avoid incurring any penalties. These penalties can be harsh ranging from a fine to disbarment from trading, so be very careful.

You will also have to learn how to collect taxes from your sales and your wages to yourself and to your employees. You will also have to learn how to hand these monies over to the right authorities on time, although your accountant or book-keeper can assist you there.

Hybrid cars can be the car of future generations. It significantly lessens fuel costs and it produces lower levels of carbon waste. These benefits have added to the popularity of the Hybrid car. More and more individuals each day are swapping their everyday vehicles in return for a fuel conserving hybrid vehicle.

The hybrid cars have two engines which enhance its abilities of saving fuel. It features a new electric motor in addition to batteries together with the classic petrol/diesel engine. These two engines operate alongside each other to slice the amount of fuel utilized as well as the amount of toxins released into the environment. With this sort of technology you’ll be able to cut the amount of fuel used by one half. With this kind of superb technology there’s little doubt that these cars will likely be the vehicle of the future.

Not only do these automobiles help you save cash and the tension of increasing fuel costs, it is possible to also save cash with taxes as the Government announced in the previous budget that it was extending the incentive for plug-in hybrid and electric cars until 2012.

With all the advantages of Hybrid cars, of course there’s gonna be a disadvantage in 1 form or another. The major disadvantage of these vehicles is that while they do help you save money the retail costs are quite high-priced.

Hybrid cars will never go as quick as a normal fuel automobile because they are fairly heavy on account of the heavy batteries which are installed inside the vehicle. Another issue with Hybrid cars is that they may be risky in an automobile accident. The cars advantage is also one of its greatest risk factor in an accident. This being that the automobile stores a high voltage in its batteries which means that there is a very high chance of getting electrocuted in the event you were involved in an accident; this makes it difficult for rescuers to get drivers and passengers to safety simply because of the high electricity power inside the car.

If you happen to crash that hybrid car of yours then you had better hope that you have car insurance. Check out BestQuote.ie for an insurance quote.

For the Chevelle, the year of 1966 was big since it brought in a whole new curved look to the model. The 66 Chevelle front fender had a more aggressive design in which the top thrust forward to give it a more powerful look. The back of the 1966 was also a departure from the 1965. It had a higher shaping that many said gave it a distinctive coke-bottle look. Many people are simply enamored by the simple beauty of this classic muscle car’s design. In many muscle car collector circles, the 1966 Chevelle is considered one of the most loved classic muscle car designs in history.

With a new broad grille, this car had what that many people have come to revere in this automobile’s legacy. Furthermore, this car had the curved side windows as well as the “flying buttress” roof line in the hardtop models. This was also the year that the hardtop Sport Sedan became a part of the Malibu series. It continued to have the 300, 300 Deluxe, and Malibu trim.

The new innovation in car technology was very popular in 1966. In fact, 412,155 Chevelles were produced and of all the autos built, 72,272 were Super Sports. The demand was way higher than the 65 model year.

Of the types of body styles, there was the 2 door sports coupe, 4 door sports coupe, 2 door convertible, and the 4 door station wagon. No longer in the lineup was the two-door station wagon from the previous year. Sales was low for this car as it was discontinued for the 1966 model year.

A much higher performance SS 396 rolled off the assembly line with a standard 325 horsepower turbo-jet V-8 having an incredible engine displacement of 396 cubic inches. It came with a fantastic Super Sport option that had special fender moldings, twin simulated hood air-intakes, as well as a blackened out grill that had SS 396 badges. You could also see the Super Sport script on the rear fenders. Very nice looking. The SS package option in the 66 automobile also had the great looking mag-type wheel covers and nylon red striped tires. This was pretty much it for the SS options. Bucket seats were optionally available in this automobile. Most came with vinyl bench seats.

For those wanting the ultimate Chevelle in 1966, the L78 engine option was available. It was rated at 375 horse power and was basically the same 396 cubic inch engine as the L34 but it came with a hotter cam and a higher compression ratio. The extra horsepower allowed this Chevelle to do 0 to 60 in about 6.5 seconds.

Looking at the overall picture, the 1966 Chevelle was made much faster and more compact than the previous year’s model. The style still looks good today and is instantly recognized by enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts alike as a classic muscle car.

Driving can be a truly liberating activity. It gives you the opportunity to see new places, admire sites you’ve always wanted to visit, not to mention the fact that it allows you to take your mind off your daily issues. The only condition required for this activity to be truly relaxing is that you practice defensive driving at all times.

One of the basic tips that expert drivers give to newcomers is to concentrate on the road and keep looking into the rear view and side view mirrors. These little items will become your friends if you know how to take advantages of them properly. For instance, you should always check to see how close you are from the car behind you, so you won’t cause any commotions when you come to a halt or change direction. Also, when trying to change lanes, one of the most important things you need to do is keep an eye on the side mirror to verify if the path is clear.

Another very important thing you ought to know is that your mobile phone shouldn’t be anywhere near your hands when driving. No matter what you might think, you can’t drive as well with one hand, so answering the phone is off limits. The situation might be slightly different if you own a hands-free device, but you are still in danger of getting distracted by the conversation and away from the road. As for texting, that’s an absolute “don’t”, for all the obvious reasons.

As for driving itself, you should basically obey everything your teacher told you: use your turn signals every time you change direction and your headlights even during daytime, as it will make you more obvious to other drivers. Keep your windshield clean and make sure your car is in good condition before hitting the road, in order to avoid having trouble later on.

Finally, remember that these few pieces of advice are only meant to increase your safety and that of the people in your car and are not supposed to prevent you from having fun on the road. Remember them the next time you get behind the wheel and you might just have a more pleasant journey than ever.

Being caught in any car accident can freak someone out. It is frightening to get caught in a car accident much more if your car gets thrown out into the water.

Being caught in any car accident can freak someone out. It is frightening to get caught in a car accident much more if your car gets thrown out into the water. What is more is that, you are trapped inside. Now, the big question is, how do you get out? Do you wish that you have a seat belt cutter to cut your way out? To tell you frankly, you should invest in one. It is affordable just like any cheap tennis rackets. Getting back on the topic, here are the things you should to when you’re stuck in a submerged car.

The first step you need to do is to be in a brace position. You need to brace your own self for the impact. Make sure your hands are placed on both sides of your head. Cross your arms and make sure that the hand on the outer part should be able to grab the shoulder belt. This will protect your arms and other parts of your body.

As your car hits the water, open the windows as fast as you can. You have to remember that you only have a few minutes to do that. You wouldn’t be able to open the windows when your car is totally submerged. Now, why is that so? It is because both of the pressures in and out of your car are now equal. You only have a split second to do it. Get your mind straight and do it quickly.

Breathe deeply and try to stay calm as possible as you can. Also, don’t forget to unlock it. This whole scenario will get you to panic but you should get your mind straight. All the panic will not do you any good. Do some deep breathing and focus on the things that you should be doing.

You have two options in escaping. You can either get out through the door or through the window. You have to decide fast. If you choose to get out of the door, make sure your hand grabs hold of the door latch. Get your seat belt unbuckled and get out.

Swim to the surface the moment you get out of the house. Rapidly do it. You only have minimum amount of oxygen. Also, if you swim fast you have lesser chance of getting asphyxia.

Once you have reached the top, seek some medical attention after. You may have sustained some injuries. In addition, the medical staff may be able to check some hidden injuries.

Bob Proctor has been writing articles since 2005 and is an expert on seatbelt cutter, however he’s also interested in cheap tennis rackets for personal use.

So you got this fantastic brand new vehicle. It is all you could want plus more. You happen to be so psyched that you drive your vehicle about to show everybody that you know. It drives smooth as can be and the exterior looks like only a brand new car can look, excellent! The paint has a high gloss and is blemish free.

You head on home and proceed to hop out of the vehicle when without warning your door opens into the fire hydrant that resides at the side of your drive way. You slowly step out of the automobile cringing and praying you didn’t just put a dent in your newly purchased vehicle. With one eye shut you asses the destruction. Sure enough there’s a dent in your freshly acquired vehicle. You feel like weeping and enter your residence with your head down low.

The exuberance you couldn’t help but feel about obtaining a new car has completely diminished. Of course the ding is small , it’s quite possible nobody will notice it nonetheless , you notice it.

So now what do you need to do?

That’s exactly where paintless dent removal comes into play. A dent repair is just that. A dent specialist can take the dent out from the body of the vehicle without having to fill the dent and paint it.

That is definitely very good news to you for two reasons. The first is the fact that it is rather low-cost to have the dent removed (and quick) so you could get your automobile looking like it just rolled away from the car lot quickly. The second is that you simply do not have to get actual body work done on your new car so that you can still brag that there is all factory paint.

Choosing paintless dent removal is an excellent approach to keep your car looking new whether or not you simply have a couple of minimal dings or your automobile has hail damage.

Should you require a dent repair Canton area . Click paintless dent removal Canton Oh to recieve an estimate.

Often referred to as a wheel cover, a hubcap is a flat disk that can be fit into the center space of wheels. It is available in three different types of materials: steel, aluminum, and high-grade plastics. If you’re looking for a more durable wheel cover, either the steel or aluminum will do. But if you’re after flexibility, there’s the plastic wheel cover, which can be used in different make and models of vehicles.

Wheel covers have massively developed through the years. They started out during 1930s as a simple covering for wheels of buggy and wagons and measured no more than 4″ in diameter. Today, wheel covers are large enough to snugly fit the entire wheel, including the tire’s edges. They are also more decorative and stylish, with more colors and eye-catching designs and styles.

Because of the many different styles and colors of hubcaps currently available, most vehicle owners use these accessories to aesthetically enhance their vehicles. There are, however, some who still see hubcaps as crucial parts of vehicles mainly because of their ability to protect the wheels and maintain their excellent performance and condition. Hubcaps, since the early days, have always been known to keep dirt and other elements from harming the spindle nuts and wheel bearing. They were primarily used to seal the wheel hub of early-day modes of transportation such as buggy and wagon.

Modern day hubcaps may still be used to seal wheel hubs and protect the wheels from dust and harmful particles, but they are now more functional and in-demand than early-day wheel covers.

Nowadays, there are many different styles and colors of hubcaps. Many resemble Frisbees with their flat chrome round shapes. Modern day wheel covers still have the basic function of protecting the wheels from dirt and harmful particles, but they are now primarily utilized to provide a more polished and elegant look to vehicles.

As a buyer of hubcaps, you are given endless possibilities and many different ways to design your vehicle with different styles and colors of wheel covers available. They can also be found everywhere, from your local stores to online stores. There are wheel covers that feature unique spoke patterns, classy and elegant designs, as well as chrome-plated and non-coated plastic wheel covers. With such a huge selection, there’s certainly a hubcap that will perfectly complement the color, make, and model of your vehicle.

Aside from classy and elegant designs, modern day hubcaps are now available in different styles. Two of the most popular ones are the clip-on hubcaps and the bolt-on hubcaps. Clip-on hubcaps are built with a spring steel clip that can be grooved into the wheels; plastic clip if it’s a plastic hubcap. The bolt-on hubcaps, on the other hand, are built with threaded fastener which keeps the hubcaps in place.

Today, there are a lot of online stores that offer a long line of hubcaps for different make and model of vehicles, as well as various styles and colors. Many of them also offer new and used hubcaps, even customized ones for those who want to provide their vehicles a more personalized look. When shopping for a hubcap, it is crucial that buyers choose the one that is styled and designed for their cars. The color should match and the spokes should have unique and intriguing patterns.

Among today’s top rated on-line retailers of wheel covers is Hubcapzone.com. It’s been trading for much more than 20 years and has built an exceptional standing when it comes to supplying top-quality used and brand spanking new wheel covers at affordable price tags. You’ll be able to also choose to personalize the look of your vehicles by ordering your customized hubcap at the web page.

Or better said, to your car. It is not a joke and your schedule will not be affected in any way. If you care too much for your car in order to take it out on bad weather, then you could start considering other alternatives. Car specialists have shown that winter is a crucial period for your car: snow and freezing affect the engine and their components, holes in the concrete will damage the suspensions, ice on the road limits the adherence of tires. If you insist on using your personal car to go to job, then you should abide by some rules.

First and foremost, if you insist on taking your car out, you should “dress” it appropriately. Change the usual tires for winter tires, the windshield wipers for winter wipers and always use the antifreeze solution. Clean the battery more often and visit the mechanic more often. Oh, and don’t forget to always carry in your trunk a set of anti-skid chains, for a plus of safety. All this must be taken care of before winter comes, so you will not be caught off guard. This can become exhausting, indeed…

Public transportation is a good solution taking into account the fact that their circulation is never canceled, they’re almost always on time and, due to the fact that they are big and powerful vehicles, they will never get stuck in the snow. The underground is the happiest solution, as it is not affected by the weather outside. The downside of going by bus or metro is that everyone does it: rush hours are dreadful and can turn out to be stressful.

Or you could take a cab. Bikes or walking are out of the question, and taxis will always be prepared for bad weather. There is however a small problem, related to money. Taking a cab every day may turn out to be even more expensive than preparing your car for winter. Hopeless? Not at all.

The most suitable alternative is to lease a car for a certain period, say wintertime, and use it instead of your car. The advantage is that you can choose a big and powerful car, already equipped with all the tools winter demands from a car. Companies can offer you a variety of cars, answering to your particular needs. You can make savings and travel comfortably in the same time. Ever thought about driving a jeep on muddy, snowy roads? This is your time!

Whether you need car or van leasing or hire throughout the UK, vehicle leasing is the most appropriate choice for you.
